Laboratory of Bio-Analytical Chemistry
Research Field
Dr. Po-Ling Chang got his college diploma from Yanpei Medical Biotechnology College and worked in the Division of Blood Bank in the Mackey Memorial Hospital. Afterward, he received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry, National Taiwan University in 2007. Thereafter, he joins to Molecular Medicine Research Center, Chang Gung University for postdoctoral training. Since then, he has been on the chemistry faculty at Tunghai University, where he is currently Associate Professor since 2013. In 2015, Dr. Chang spent a one-year sabbatical in EPFL for nanocapillary and PALM/STORM instrumentation at LBEN, EPFL. The LBAC was moved to the Department of Chemistry, National Sun Yat-sen Univerity in 2020.
Our group aims to develop ultra-sensitive methods for biomolecules detection. Well established methods include nanocapillary/capillary electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence, dark-field microscopy, TIRF/HILO fluorescence microscopy and PALM/STORM microscopy are built in our lab. Our research is generously supported by funding from the government (Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan).
