Welcome to the “Functional Composite Materials Laboratory” at Tunghai University’s Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering, where I serve as an Assistant Professor. Our lab is dedicated to the development and exploration of four key areas:

1. Waste Reuse Materials: We are committed to the development of materials that can efficiently reuse waste, aiming to address the global waste crisis and contribute to a sustainable future.
2. Catalyst Materials: Our research in this area focuses on designing and synthesizing materials that can speed up chemical reactions without being consumed, thereby improving the efficiency and sustainability of industrial processes.
3. Wastewater Treatment: We are working on innovative solutions for treating wastewater, to protect our water resources and contribute to environmental sustainability.
4. Functional Composite Materials: Our lab is also involved in the development of composite materials with tailored properties for various applications.

In addition to these research areas, our lab integrates the use of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software to evaluate greenhouse gas emissions, with the ultimate goal of achieving net-zero emissions. This holistic approach ensures that our research not only leads to technological advancements but also promotes environmental sustainability. We welcome all who are interested in joining us on this exciting journey of discovery and innovation.
