Introduction

Dr Santhana Krishna Kumar is an assistant professor who joined the Department of Chemistry, NSYSU, Taiwan in August 2023. Before prior to joining NSYSU, he was an assistant professor (adjunct) from the faculty of geology geophysical and environmental protection at AGH University Science and Technology (2021–2023), Krakow-Poland. He received a Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS-Pilani, India), in 2014 under the guidance of Professor N. Rajesh. Subsequently, Dr Krishna joined as a postdoctoral researcher at NSYSU-Taiwan (2014-2017) under the guidance of Professor Shiuh-Jen Jiang (retired), thereafter Dr. Krishna moved to Professor Wei-lung Tseng's Lab (NSYSU-Taiwan) in 2017 to 2021, during his post-doctoral tenure acquired wide variety of experimental knowledge which are mainly involved in the preparation of zero-dimensional, one-dimensional and two-dimensional fluorescent probes for practical application in chemical sensors, bio-imaging & cancer cell treatment and also he has developed numerous photo -catalysts for visible light-induced catalytic degradation of aromatic nitro compounds such as [Tri-nitro phenols (TNP), Tri-nitro aniline(TNT) and nitro aniline]. Dr Krishna has author and co-author for more than 53 research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, which include 4300 citations (as of december-2026 data from Google Scholar, an h-index of 35, Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) 2.9, i10 index 72, i200 index 3). He is currently serving in different roles (Academic Editor, guest editor, associate editor & editorial board member) for various international journals.

Dr Krishna research lab actively involving about  preparation of zero-dimensional, one-dimensional and two-dimensional fluorescent probes for practical application in chemical sensors, bio-imaging & cancer cell treatment and also  developed numerous photo-catalysts for visible light induced catalytic degradation of aromatic nitro compounds such as [Tri-nitro phenols (TNP), Tri-nitro aniline(TNT) and nitro aniline].

Dr Krishna research lab actively involving about synthesis of novel functionalized materials such as zeolites, meso-porous silica (SBA-15), MCM-41, MCM-48 and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), subsequently the as produced porous adsorbent materials would be applied for possible applications in sorption of inorganic and organic pollutants from an aqueous solution.
