Introduction

Kwan Yin CHEUNG (David) graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012 (Department of Chemistry), and pursued his PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Qian MIAO in the same university and graduated in 2016. He continued to work as a research assistant in the same research group. In 2018, he joined the group of Prof. Kenichiro ITAMI in as a postdoc researcher in Nagoya University in Japan. In 2020, he moved back to Hong Kong to work with Prof. Ken C. F. LEUNG in Hong Kong Baptist University as a postdoctoral fellow. In 2023, he moved to National Sun Yat-sen University to start his independent research. His research interest is polycyclic aromatic compounds, novel π-conjugated compounds and organic synthesis.

The Organic Synthesis and Molecular Nanocarbons Laboratory is designed to perform advanced organic synthesis. Multiple fume hoods are installed to provide good ventilation. Solvent purification system will be available to provide deoxygenated and anhydrous solvent for carrying out air and moisture sensitive reactions. Glovebox will be available for handling and storage of air sensitive materials.
