Introduction

Shih-Tsung Huang, Ph.D., Pharm.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). His research focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, healthy aging, frailty, metabolic diseases, drug safety, and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR). His work applies real-world healthcare databases and advanced analytical methods to investigate medication use, treatment effectiveness, and clinical outcomes, with a particular interest in improving health and care for aging populations.

The Huang Laboratory conducts research in real-world evidence (RWE), pharmacoepidemiology, frailty, healthy aging, metabolic diseases, drug safety, and HEOR. We use nationwide healthcare databases and advanced analytical approaches, including causal inference, trajectory analysis, machine learning, and health economic evaluation, to study medication utilization, treatment effectiveness, and healthcare outcomes. We welcome students interested in epidemiology, healthcare data science, and interdisciplinary research.
