Research Field

Chemical Engineering

Introduction

I am a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT). My expertise lies in Process Systems Engineering (PSE), with a core focus on Process Control, integration, and Simulation. Currently, my research focuses on advancing sustainable energy solutions, specifically the simulation and optimization of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC) and Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOEC).

My Lab's research works cover design, control, and optimization of process systems. Current research interest focuses on the solid oxide cell systems for power/hydrogen production. We also conduct research on AI-related applications in process systems.  By integrating traditional chemical engineering principles with modern computational tools like MATLAB, Aspen Plus, and Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINN), the research strives to bridge the gap between complex theoretical modeling and practical industrial applications in resource recovery and green energy.

Research Topics

The research topics include, but are not limited to

  1. Simulation and optimization of the solid oxide cell systems for power/hydrogen production, integrating with resource recovery.
  2. Simulation and prediction of the long-term performance degradation of solid oxide cell systems.

Honor

None.
