In recent years, research on viruses has not only advanced the development of drugs and vaccines for treating viral diseases in medicine but has also widely utilized viral vectors as gene delivery systems. Moreover, viruses play a key role in gene therapy. In the future, we will investigate the relationship between EBV infection and tumorigenesis. The systems we have established can be extended and applied to research on other viruses, and we will use viral infection pathways to develop controllable cellular systems for in-depth studies of related diseases.
Current research topics include:
(1) The mechanistic insight of EBV latency.
(2) Establishment of high throughput screening platforms for anti-EBV
drug discovery.
(3) Deciphering the pathogenic role of EBV in Bladder pain syndrome.
(4) Translation medicine research on multiple myeloma
