Introduction

Dr. Yu-Tse Wu is a Professor at the School of Pharmacy, Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU). As the head of the Translational Pharmaceutics Lab, he focuses on the "bench-to-preclinical" transition, ensuring that innovative drug delivery designs achieve measurable therapeutic success.

Dr. Wu’s research offers a comprehensive training ground for aspiring pharmaceutical scientists, covering:

Formulation Excellence: Designing delivery systems that optimize the stability and bioavailability of natural and synthetic compounds.

Analytical Precision: Developing robust HPLC and LC-MS/MS methods for the precise quantification of active ingredients.

In Vivo Insights: Conducting in-depth preclinical pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic evaluations using established animal models.

Functional Health Research: Exploring specialized efficacy in anti-fatigue interventions and the recovery/alleviation of muscle damage.

"Better Delivery, Better Recovery."

At our lab, this isn't just a slogan—it’s our mission. While nature offers a treasure trove of promising compounds, many fail to reach their full potential because they simply cannot reach their targets in the body. We tackle this challenge head-on.

By applying cutting-edge pharmaceutical technology, we re-engineer the biopharmaceutical properties of natural compounds to overcome biological barriers. Our research is strategically focused on a vital frontier of health and human performance: alleviating exercise-induced fatigue and muscle damage.

What we do:

Innovate: We design advanced, precision-tailored delivery systems that dramatically boost the efficacy of natural actives.

Empower: Our formulations help the body recover faster, perform better, and push beyond existing limits.

Validate: We bridge the gap between "bench and bedside" through rigorous preclinical pharmacokinetics and efficacy testing.

Your Journey as an Intern: You won’t just be a spectator. You will dive deep into the world of drug delivery and see firsthand how a well-designed system can transform a simple natural extract into a powerful therapeutic agent.
