Dr. Tani is a neurologist, clinician-scientist, and biomedical entrepreneur dedicated to advancing cognitive health through artificial intelligence. He serves at Taipei Medical University and Wan Fang Hospital, where he integrates clinical neurology with translational research. As the founder of Brainmate, he leads the development of AI-driven cognitive evaluation and therapeutic systems designed to address the growing global burden of dementia.
In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Tani directs biomedical innovation initiatives that bridge medicine, engineering, and entrepreneurship. His work focuses on transforming evidence-based neuroscience into scalable, human-centered technologies that improve patient outcomes while reducing caregiver burden.
Interns joining his lab will engage in multidisciplinary collaboration across clinicians, engineers, and designers, gaining exposure to real-world clinical problems, AI applications in healthcare, and the full pathway from concept to deployment.
