Introduction

Dr. Hung-Chieh Chang is an interdisciplinary researcher who researches child health and well-being from the perspective of the sociology of childhood and children’s rights. Her policy and recent academic work focus on social determinants of children's environmental and mental health, by situating children's well-being as the result of interactions between children and wider social structures such as policies. She edited and published the book "Lessons for Adults from Children: Ten Years of Children's Rights in Taiwan" in 2025.

My lab has two major themes: youth climate actions and students' mental health in education settings. Yet, I am also happy to discuss different topics relating to child health and well-being.
