Research Field
Dr. Chi-Chin Tsai is a distinguished professor of the Department of Civil Engineering at National Chung Hsing University. He is also serving as an editorial manager of Journal of Earthquake Engineering. Dr. Tsai received his BS and MS in 1999 and 2001 from National Taiwan University and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007. Before joining National Chung Hsing University in 2012, he was a senior project engineer at URS, USA. His research focuses on geotechnical earthquake engineering including soil dynamics, soil liquefaction, site effect/ site response analysis, and seismic slope stability assessment. In 2018, Dr. Tsai was awarded the Humboldt Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers and worked on projects at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and Ruhr University Bochum, Germany.
