Dr. Chang received his BS in mechanical engineering at National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1996, his MS in the department of aeronautics and astronautics at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, in 1998, and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2008. He has worked at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan, as a mechanical design engineer from 2000 to 2002. He joined the faculty member at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology from 2009 to 2023 as assistant professor, associate professor, professor. He then joined National Taipei University of Technology in 2023 as a professor in Graduate Institute of Manufacturing Technology.
Our laboratory specializes in laser micro/nano-processing and micro/nano-bubble application technologies. Our research is funded by both the Taiwanese government and various private sectors. We maintain strong strategic partnerships with Taiwan’s leading industries, including the semiconductor, precision machining, and laser processing sectors.
Furthermore, we collaborate closely with National Taiwan University (NTU) in the north and National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in the south. Our members also have the opportunity to engage in academic exchanges and collaborative research with Academia Sinica and other national-level research institutions.
Semiconductor manufacturing technology, Micro-/nano- fabrication techniques, and Non-conventional machining technologies, especially EDM and laser material processing.
