Novel Materials

Introduction

Dr. Shih’s research interests lie in the fundamental characteristics of the organic-inorganic semiconducting materials and their solid-state physics. His expertise includes nanoscale thin film integration for functional electronics. In 2024, he demonstrated the concept of anti-surveillance goggles, featuring a semi-transparent wearable imaging sensor capable of detecting invisible intrusive signals. This work drew significant attention from the industry, leading to an initial investment of approximately $260,000 USD from Silicon Valley.
