Research Field
Dr. Jung-Ping Liu is currently a Distinguished Professor of Feng Chia University, Taiwan. Dr. Liu’s research interests include holography, microscopy, digital signal processing, display, and optical engineering. Dr. Liu has published roughly 80 peer-reviewed papers and several book chapters. Dr. Liu also coauthored a textbook “Introduction to Modern Digital Holography with MATLAB” in 2014. Dr. Liu was a Topical Editor of the journal Applied Optics in 2014-2020. Now Dr. Liu serves as an Evaluation Committee member of National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in Taiwan. The complete publication list of Dr. Liu can be found in Google scholar (https://scholar.google.com/)
Optical Information Processing Lab (OIPL) begins in 2005, whenever the PI, Dr. Jung-Ping Liu, joined Feng Chia University (FCU). All of OIPL members are undergraduate students and master students of Department of Photonics, FCU. Since OIPL is a small Lab, every member will have an individual research project. Current projects include near-eye holographic 3D display, holographic 3D Imaging by optical scanning holography, hologram printer, THz 3D lensless imaging, and parallel phase-shifting microscopy. In addition, some research projects are conducted in collaboration with other universities. The instruments of OIPL include optical tables, lasers, liquid-crystal on silicon (LCoS) spatial light modulators (SLM), digital micromirror devices (DMD), motorized stages, PZT, galvo mirror, PMT, CMOS/CCD cameras, power meter, THz source and cameras, etc.
