Job Description
This internship focuses on the development of Virtual Reality (VR) training and simulation scenarios designed to support research in human interaction, cognition, and immersive technologies. The research intern will assist the laboratory in designing, developing and testing VR scenarios that translate research ideas into functional, immersive scenarios. An ideal candidate brings experience in VR development, especially in relation to research scenarios, experience with game engines such as Unity, strong programming/scripting experience, and an understanding of 3D scene construction and asset integration.
Preferred Intern Educational Level
Undergraduate student
Skill sets or Qualities
- Experience working with Virtual Reality (VR) development platforms (e.g., Unity
and/or Unreal Engine) - Prior experience developing or contributing to VR scenarios for research, simulation,
or training applications - Familiarity with designing experimental environments or research-oriented VR
scenarios - Understanding of 3D scene construction, asset integration, and interaction scripting
within game engines - Programming and scripting experience (e.g., C#, C++, Python, or similar)
