Dr. Pham Thi Nhu Nguyet is an Assistant Professor at the International College of Semiconductor Technology, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. She
earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Pusan National University, South Korea.
Previously, Dr. Pham served as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Science, Vietnam National University–Ho Chi Minh City, where she also worked as a
training tutor for the national excellent student team in Chemistry. She has held Visiting Professor positions at leading universities in Taiwan.
Dr. Pham has extensive experience in teaching, supervising undergraduate and graduate students, and leading competitively funded research projects. Her research
integrates density functional theory (DFT), molecular dynamics (MD), and machine learning (ML) to accelerate the discovery and rational design of advanced functional
materials. Through active international collaborations and close engagement with experimental groups, she aims to bridge theoretical modeling with practical materials development, contributing to sustainable energy technologies and next-generation semiconductor applications.
The Computational Energy Materials Laboratory (CEM Lab) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University focuses on the design and discovery of next-generation materials and devices through advanced computational approaches. Our research explores emerging materials systems including two-dimensional semiconductors, van der Waals heterostructures, quantum dots, catalytic materials, and advanced battery components.
Our goal is to accelerate the development of materials for energy, electronics, and quantum technologies. By improving energy storage performance, enhancing device efficiency, and reducing development time and cost, we aim to enable practical and sustainable technological solutions.
To achieve this, our research integrates predictive simulations, density functional theory, artificial intelligence and machine learning models, and other advanced computational techniques. Through these approaches, we seek to bridge fundamental materials science with real-world applications, supporting innovation in energy technologies and contributing to long-term sustainability.
