Laboratory of Chemical Microchip and Biomedical Mass Spectrometry
Research Field
Principal Investigator, Group Leader
I am a well-trained analytical chemist with a research background in various areas of research. My expertise includes the development of analytical methods, design and synthesis of MOFs and COFs and the use of LC-MS/MS, GC-MS and electrochemical sensor techniques to investigate interactions between novel materials and environmental pollutants. Currently, our research projects develop of novel materials for sample pretreatment design, where we utilize simple synthesis to create innovative novel materials and explore the properties for functional applications.
- Application of HPLC-MS/MS for the analysis of environmental pollutants (e.g., arsenic, second-hand smoke, nanomaterials, VOCs, PM2.5, PAHs) and their health-related biomarkers, such as 8-OHdG (oxidative DNA damage), global DNA methylation, 8-iso-prostaglandin F2α (lipid peroxidation), metabolites of cigarette carcinogen NNK, and VOC metabolites.
- Use of LC-Q-TOF mass spectrometry for exposomics studies in animal models and human exposure, conducting comprehensive metabolite profiling and targeted analysis to identify novel biomarkers such as amino acids, tryptophan metabolites, arachidonic acid metabolites, and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
- Development of novel materials for sample pretreatment, including metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent–organic frameworks (COFs), and magnetic nanomaterials.
Graduate Student
We invite talented college graduates with backgrounds in organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and analytical chemistry to join our team at FJCU and pursue their academic goals as PhD students. You can find detailed information on the FJCU graduate program website or reach out to us via email for further inquiries.
Visiting graduate student
Joint graduate students are also welcome to work in our group at FJUCU. Students who are interested in this program can send an email to us to discuss education plans in detail.
