Research Field
I am interested in how the brain works as a system. In particular, I am interested in how this system produces subjective experience.
I also do work on how to make the scientific process more effective and sustainable.
We work with neuroimaging data to understand the dynamics of the brain and how they are connected to its structure and physiology. In particular, we look at how these dymanics are connected to our subjective experience. This includes in people for whom that experience has altered, such as those with disorders of consciousness or psychiatric disorders

I completed my undergraduate degree in Pharmacology at the University of Glasgow, along with a Master's degree in Philosophy at the same university. I then obtained a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Carleton University, Canada.
Job Description
The internship can help you learn about current analytical tools for probing the human brain in vivo.
Preferred Intern Educational Level
You should have completed a Master's degree in a relevant field.
Skill sets or Qualities
The project involves analysing brain imaging data. For this, you should be familiar with a programming language such as Python, Matlab, or bash. It is preferable that you have prior experience of analysing neuroimaging data (fMRI, EEG, or MEG).
All work is conducted in English so you should be confident speaking and writing that language.
