Introduction

Prof. Te-Wei Chiu is presently working as a Department chair and Distinguished Professor at Department of Material and Mineral Resources Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan. He received a B.S in chemistry in 1995 from National Cheng-Kong University and M.S in chemistry in 1997 from National Chong-Chen University, Taiwan. He obtained PhD degrees in Material Science Engineering from, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 2003. After, he working as a post-doctoral researcher at Tsukuba Research Centre for Interdisciplinary Material Science, Tsukuba University (2003–2005). He working at National Institute of Advanced Industrial and Science Technology (AIST), Japan from 2005 to 2008. His areas of research interest include application of nanomaterial and functional oxide for energy technology such as synthesis of nanoparticles (0D), fiber (1D), thin films (2D), porous (3D) and tubular in shape. Our lab major application electrochemical sensor, thin film devices, supercapacitor, hydrogen energy, and water splitting. I have published more than 120 research articles and many NSTC project grand received and made various international collaboration with Taipei Tech.
