Introduction

Dr. Tzung-Je Li received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan, in 2008. From August 2010 to January 2018, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at Cheng Shiu University, and was promoted to Associate Professor in the same department from February 2018 to January 2021. Since February 2021, he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Sun Yat-sen University, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor.

Since 2021, Dr. Lee has been dedicated to English-Medium Instruction (EMI) teaching and has received nine Excellent Teaching Course Awards. In 2023, he was awarded the First National EMI Innovative Teaching Course Video Competition – Interaction and Learning Outcomes Category (Excellence Award). In 2024, he received both the Outstanding Teaching Faculty Award and the Excellent Mentor Award from NSYSU, and in 2025, he was honored as a Teaching Leading Faculty Member at NSYSU.

Dr. Lee served as the Head of the Information Security Division at NSYSU from August 2021 to July 2023. He has been a Board Member (Director/Supervisor) of the Taiwan Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (TIEEE) since October 2012, and served as the Secretary General of TIEEE from October 2022 to September 2024.

Dr. Lee has been an IEEE Member since 2010 and was elevated to IEEE Senior Member in February 2020. Since September 2025, he has served as the Treasurer of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) – Tainan Chapter.

Between 2021 and 2025, Dr. Li supervised student teams that received 15 awards in the NSYSU College of Engineering Joint Capstone Project Competition, including one Grand Prize, one First Prize, two Excellence Awards, and eleven Merit Awards. His students have also received Best Paper Awards at international conferences such as WiPDA-Asia 2023, ISOCC 2023, and ECICE 2023, as well as the Best Poster Paper Award at the 13th Biomedical Engineering Applications Conference. Additional honors include the National University IC Design Contest – Design Completion Award (2021), Merit Award (2023), and the Excellent Chip Design Award (Excellence Prize) from the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI), NARLabs, in 2024.

Dr. Lee’s main research interests include power management integrated circuits, mixed-voltage I/O circuits, and sensor IC design.

Our lab  focuses on the research of  analog circuits and mixed-signal circuits design, including wide-range I/O buffer, power management ICs and energy harvesting circuits.
