Polymeric Materials Laboratory
Research Field
Dr. Yu-Wei Cheng received his PhD from the Institute of Polymer Science and Engineering, National Taiwan University. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan. His research focuses on the synthesis of functionalized and environmentally friendly polymers and the development of Raman-enhancing metal nanoparticle arrays for small-molecule detection. His recent work emphasizes 2D/3D and flexible substrates for multifunctional smart sensors and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) applications. He has published approximately 52 SCI-indexed journal articles and has an h-index of 16 based on Google Scholar.
