Dr. Hsing-Chieh Wu received her Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, and conducted postdoctoral research as a visiting researcher and postdoctoral fellow at the Biomedical Sciences Research Complex, University of St Andrews, and the Graduate Institute of Animal Vaccine Technology.
She currently serves in the International Degree Program in Animal Vaccine Technology, with research interests focusing on veterinary viral and bacterial vaccine development, immune response evaluation, and the development of novel vaccine adjuvants to enhance protective immunity.
Dr. Wu holds three vaccine-related patents, has authored one academic book, and has published 22 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. She also actively collaborates with industry partners to promote technology transfer and the practical application of vaccine research.
The control and prevention of animal diseases have become critical issues impacting global food security. Vaccination remains one of the most effective strategies for managing animal diseases. Our research laboratory collaborates with international experts and scholars, forming a multinational and interdisciplinary research team dedicated to establishing vaccine antigen production platforms and evaluating novel biological adjuvants. These efforts aim to accelerate the development of next-generation vaccines and diagnostic reagents to enhance animal disease prevention.
Our laboratory is equipped to conduct research in genetic recombination, immunological assays, and microbial cultivation. Additionally, we collaborate with the Animal Biologics Pilot Production Center to provide researchers with comprehensive training that bridges laboratory-scale research with industrial-scale production.
Furthermore, through active participation in international collaborative projects and the development of novel vaccines, our program integrates theoretical knowledge with hands-on technical expertise. This approach ensures comprehensive training for researchers, fostering highly skilled professionals in vaccine research and development to meet global industry demands.
