Introduction

Jia-Han Li received his BS degree in physics and MS degree in electrical engineering from the National Taiwan University in 1995 and 1997, respectively, and his PhD degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Purdue University in 2005. He joined the faculty of the Department of Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering of National Taiwan University in 2006. He is the Deputy Director of the Radiation Application and Hardness Technology Research Center (RTRC) of NTU since Aug. 2024. He was a visiting scholar at the National Institute for Materials Science, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan, Jul.~Oct. 2018, Jul.~Aug. 2024, Feb. 2025, Jul.~Aug. 2025, and Jan.~Feb. 2026. He served as the Director of NTU-ITRI Nano Center from Mar. 2017 to Feb. 2023 to connect and link the cooperation between the research teams of the National Taiwan University and Industry Technology Research Institute. He served as the Leader of the Group of Fundamental Optics, Innovative Photonics Advanced Research Center (i-PARC) of NTU from Jan. 2020 to Dec. 2023. He also served as the consultant of Daxin Materials Corps. from Oct. 2021 to Oct. 2022 for industrial applications. His current research interests include inspection, radiation, sensing, energy, imaging, lasers, plasmonics, and scientific computation.

The lab focus on the research in using theoretical, numerical, and experimental method for the novel research in the nanophotonics and nanoelectronics from fundamental science to applied engineering problems.
