Distinguished Professor Cho-Pei Jiang, an academic and esteemed full professor at the National Taipei University of Technology, is renowned for his significant contributions to the field of additive manufacturing technologies. With a rich academic background and extensive experience, Professor Jiang has consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to excellence in research, education, and innovation. His expertise spans a broad spectrum of topics, including additive manufacturing, metal forming, sustainable technology, ceramic printing, digital dental technology, and numerical simulation.
Our laboratory specializes in three-dimensional printing technologies, including vat photo-polymerization, material extrusion, and laser powder bed fusion. These technologies are applied in the digital dental technology industry, metal forming industry, automotive metal components industry, and aerospace components industry. Research topics encompass the development of customized 3D printers integrating optomechanics, metamaterial design, virtual and reality processing, and functional gradient materials such as "ceramic/ceramic" and "ceramic/metal." Additionally, we explore innovative metal forming techniques, such as servo stamping technology and metal microforming technology. The 21st century is poised for significant advancements in smart manufacturing, innovative medical technology, and aerospace components. Professor Jiang has established a state-of-the-art 3D printing laboratory at National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech), specializing in various aspects of additive manufacturing, metal forming, digital dental technology, and numerical analysis. His expertise spans across customized ceramic printing, bioprinting, powder bed fusion technology, material extrusion printing, and numerical analysis applications in fields such as dental restoration device, bone scaffolds, innovative lattice structures, customized implants, multi-material printing, metamaterials, and beyond. On average, the laboratory publishes five SCI-indexed papers annually.
Driven by a passion for pushing the boundaries of knowledge, Professor Jiang has led numerous research projects and initiatives aimed at addressing contemporary challenges in the field. His dedication and accomplishments have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Excellent Industrial Collaboration Award in 2016 and the Excellent Research Award in 2018. These accolades underscore Professor Jiang's significant impact and leadership in advancing additive manufacturing technologies.
