Introduction

An Cheng is the Prof. of the Department of Civil Engineering at National Ilan University in Taiwan. His research specialties include Geotechnical Engineering (liquefaction, soil improvement)、Nano-technology and application in concrete (nano-silica, nano-clay and nano-limestone)、3D printing concrete (mix development and characterization)、Workability and rheology of concrete (material effects, test methods, and thixotropic behavior)、Durability of concrete (chloride and corrosion of reinforcement)、Sustainable concrete materials (uses of slag, fly ash, silica fume, recycled aggregate, geopolymer, etc.)、Advanced concrete technology (self-consolidating concrete, roller compacting concrete, mass concrete and pervious concretes)、Concrete pavement (mix design, quality control, distress analysis, and repair).

The engineering materials laboratory has advanced materials testing equipment. The laboratory is located at Yilan University in northeastern Taiwan. The school has beautiful scenery and is about 50 minutes' drive from Taipei 101. Anyone who is interested in engineering materials is welcome to join us.
